USD Coin (USDC) is a digital stablecoin created by Circle and pegged to the United States dollar.
Designed to maintain a stable value of approximately $1, USDC is fully collateralized with each USDC token backed by a corresponding amount of fiat currency (USD) held in reserve. This makes it a popular cryptocurrency for people who want to easily move USD across the Internet.
USDC is primarily available as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. It is also available as a token on other blockchains such as Algorand, Avalanche, Solana, Stellar, Polygon, TRON, and zkSync Era.
If you are using Trust Wallet with npayme, the type of USDC you want is USDC ERC20 (USDC token on Ethereum).
USDC is not displayed as an available token in Trust Wallet by default, so the first thing you’ll need to do is enable it.
Step1:
Open up your Trust Wallet and tap on the settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 2:
On the next screen, type “usdc” in the search window and you’ll see many different types of USDC tokens appear. This is because USDC tokens are available on many different blockchains.
Turn on the switch next to USDC ERC20 to add it to your wallet, and then tap Done.
Step 3:
On your main Trust Wallet screen you will now see USDC ERC20 as an available token.
Tap on USDC to open up the USDC token details.
Step 4:
Now you can see all your USDC ERC20 token details and options.
To buy some USDC ERC20 tokens, tap on the Buy button.
Step 5:
Trust Wallet will now give you the option to choose a Third Party Provider to use for purchasing your USDC.
Different providers charge different fees, so you can pick the one with the best rate.
Enter the amount of money you wish to spend, and then click the Next button.
Step 6:
At this point, Trust Wallet will walk you through signing up with a third party provider.
Follow the instructions provided by the provider you chose and they will walk you through the process of using your credit card to purchase USDC.
After your purchase is complete, you’ll see your newly purchased USDC ERC20 tokens available in your Trust Wallet.
